Carolyn Loe Hill passed away peacefully on the morning of September 16, 2015 at the age of 75 after a long, courageous fight with cancer.  Carolyn was born October 30, 1939 and raised in Seattle, WA by her parents Dr. Ralph Harvey Loe and Marion Schulteis Loe with older siblings Harvey and Mary.  She attended St. Nicholas School and then went on to graduate from the University of Washington.

Always proud of her Husky Dawg heritage, she remained friends with her Kappa Alpha Theta sisters throughout her life, and continued to make friends wherever she went.  Spending time living in Oakland, CA, Bend, OR, Temecula,CA and then eventually back to her roots in Seattle.  Carolyn was active in many social pursuits including her art classes, cancer support groups, gardening clubs, and church activities.

Carolyn will long be remembered for her love, humor, generosity, strength, incredible artistic ability, bountiful gardens, award-winning flower arrangements, delicious gourmet meals, charity (rescuing the occasional animal filled her heart), her passion for nature and the outdoors, snow skiing in her younger years and her spirit and enthusiasm to try anything.

Her first husband Albert W. Fessler preceded her in death in 1984 and then by her second husband, Gerald R. Hill in 2013.  She is survived by her two children Peter and Anne, their spouses Josh Esquibel, Mary Ann Fessler, grandsons Cooper Esquibel, Sam Fessler and Noah Fessler and beloved dog "Snickers."

A memorial service will be held at West Side Presbyterian Church Tuesday, September 22 at 11:00 am with reception following in the dining room, 3601 California Avenue SW, Seattle, WA  98116.

A special thanks to all the doctors, nurses and care givers at University of Washington Medical Center for their unrelenting compassion, comfort and care.

Memorial donations in memory of Carolyn may be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.bcrfcure.org.
