My wife Kim and I attended Miraleste High School back in the early 70's. Coach Lucas was an inspiration to me always. We were able to attend his retirement party in Seattle back in the Mid 90's. He introduced me and made me feel like an All-American. As we get older we get to reflect on the influence this great coach and man had on our lives. I'm not sure how much Wilbur knew of the impact he had on all of us. I was indeed blessed to have him as my coach and mentor. I've taken much of what I learned from Coach Lucas and tried to apply those principals and values throughout my life. Rest in Peace Coach Lucas and thank you for all you gave me.
