Myrna Dee Surowiec

Myrna Dee Surowiec (Rasmussen) passed away peacefully on November 7, 2015 at the age of 73. Myrna was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be best remembered for her open home, open heart, and her lifelong testimony of Jesus Christ. She was born January 17, 1942 in Murray, Utah and graduated from Tooele High School. She served a mission in Scotland for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and later married James Anthony Surowiec on June 14, 1969.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, James, and seven children: Mary-Margaret and Kelly Hale of Dana Point; Jennifer and Stephen Hodge of Elk Grove; David and Audra Surowiec of Port Orchard; Chris and Molly Surowiec of Kirkland; Sam and Carrie Surowiec of Everett; Henry Surowiec of Everett; Rachel and William Kearns of Everett. She is further survived by 21 grandchildren: Stephen, Nathan, Kyra, Jonathan, Tyler, Kate, Charlie, Alexa, Taylor, Drew, Megan, Jason, Sean, Scott, Abigail, Zachary, Samantha, Ethan, William, Charlotte, and Isaac.

A memorial service will be held in Kirkland on November 14th at 1pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 13320 NE 132nd Street.
