Lyle L. Tooker

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lyle L. Tooker on the afternoon of October 13, 2014 of cancer.  Lyle was the beloved husband of Joan Gay Taylor.  Lyle was born in Seattle at Swedish Hospital on February 17, 1946 to Betty Lorence Krantz and Melvin Tooker.

Lyle spent his childhood between Kodiak, Alaska and Seattle, Washington.  He graduated from Sealth High School in 1964.  Upon graduation Lyle spent two years in the US Army and upon completion of his military duty went to work for Boeing.  In the early seventies he left Boeing to go to college to become a machinist.  Upon completion he went to work for Washington Iron Works.  He was with them until 1981.  At that point Lyle chose to pursue his passion for working with wood.

In 1984, Lyle met the love of his life, Joan Taylor, when he coached her softball team.  They were married in 1990 at Lake Conconully.  He will be deeply missed by Joan, and all his friends.
