My husband and I made friends with Gypsy shortly after we moved to Cedar Key in 1994. When our grown children came to visit, they, too, became friends with her. Whenever we saw her, she asked how they were. She was fun, loving and caring and I am saddened to learn of her death.

I am so sorry to hear of Gypsy's passing. She was a very special person to me. I lived in Cedar Key from 1996 - 2003. We bonded. I used to go into her store...GYPSY ME. "From hornet's nest to high hills" was one of her slogans. She was a hoot. I loved her and will always remember Gypsy. She gave me a book called "Finding the Quiet Mind" and I purchased several pieces of furniture from her shop. Today I found the book she gave me. On the inside cover, she wrote "To Charm, Merry Christmas, Love Gypsy 12/25/97. I loved her. She was one unique lady. I have been gone from Cedar Key for 12 years. I too moved home to GA. I often wish I had never left the island. I keep up with the paper and today I saw a write up in the CK news that Gypsy passed away. The people were great and Gypsy was one of the greatest. So sorry for her family's loss. Will be thinking of my friend from the past. Peace be with you.......................Always, Charm Carter
