I enjoyed knowing Louise for many years. I shopped at her store frequently in the late 60’s and 70’s, and considered her as a friend. Louise would often call to let me know when she had something that she thought I would enjoy wearing. The guys in my office at Todd Shipyards would take up a collection and go to Louise during the Holidays for Christmas gift ideas for me. She would always come up with a dress that I loved. They thought they were pretty sneaky by asking her.
She was always upbeat and you could tell that she loved what she was doing. I worked downtown at the Clothing Mart for a few years. During Market Week, Louise would always stop by to say Hello. I was sorry when she decided to close her store.
She will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
