Helen May Costello

Helen was the first of three children born to John and Anne Costello in West Seattle in 1926.  She attended Holy Rosary Catholic School for all twelve years. Later, she went on to Seattle University, where she earned a Bachelor's of Education followed by a Master's in Education.

Helen taught elementary grades in the Seattle Public Schools.  She made a positive impact on the children for whom she cared so much.  Helen spent most of her teaching career at Fairmont and High Point Elementary Schools.

Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite and nephew, Tim Costello.  She is survived by her brother John (Dianna), nephews John, Matthew and Mark, as well as grand nieces, Molly, Clarice, Nicole, Kierra and grand nephews, Joe and Brennon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to PAWS or ANIMALS IN NEED.  A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Parish in West Seattle on Wednesday, June 7th at 10 am with reception following.  She will be laid to rest afterward at Calvary Cemetery.
