Losing a family member or friend is so difficult. We can find comfort from our merciful god Jehovah and the beautiful hope of the resurrection that he has given us, and a time when death will be a thing of the past. We find this hope at 1 Corinthians 15:55 where it says “death where is your victory.. death where is your sting” The bible has many promises like this that give us hope of a much better life. I hope that you can find a measure of comfort from the hope found in the bible.

Dear Dave and the Onstot Family, We are so very saddened with the loss of Chase. Such a shock!!!! He was always one of our favorite guys on the track and XC team!!. We were so sad to hear about this tragic event. Our hearts & tears & prayers have been with the family. Remember Chase & albert coming with their Dad to meet us in Vantage to pick up Brandi & Nathan (our grandkids)-he was a special boy. We are so sad to hear the news on Chase's sudden passing. Our family, along with all the other families at OVSC sincerely send our thoughts and prayers to your family during this tough time. We will always remember Chase as an incredible swimmer and great mentor to the others on the swim team. He will also hold a special place in our hearts and on our Maddog record board. I am Marilyn's niece, which makes Chase my cousin, although he was a bit younger, he was close with my brother and sister (Derrick and Stevie). Camping memories at Fort Flagler included Chase and his funny antics. He had a smile that made a room. His exuberance will never be forgotten. R.I.P. Chase, until we meet again! Dear Onstot Family,
I graduated high school with chase and had several classes with him. I remember being how hard he would make the class laugh and how annoyed teachers would be with him at the end of the hour. :) He was loved by all who knew him and admired for his swimming abilities. Our coach would constantly praise his skill and efforts and it was inspiring. I wish you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Dave, we're just stunned! It has been years, but we remember Chase as so much fun, and Rachel recalls he was always so nice to her when she was just a punk swimmer. I remember seeing him at track meets - he was so good at those things he put his mind to, just a gifted athlete that wasn't afraid to put in the work. Terrible, tragic loss for all of us.

Dear Onstot Family, Chase was a wonderful gentleman and touched all of our lives with laughter and kindness! We all had fun swimming at OV together. Ean was so glad to have such a good friend in Chase and the special times they spent together at OV through competition and antics combined. Chase will be truly missed.
