Barbara Eggebraten

Barbara Ann Eggebraten (Shroeder) passed peacefully on 1/7/18.  Barbara was born in Buffalo, NY on 10/15/34 to Alice Richardson Olmsted and Daniel Shroeder.

Barbara lived in West Seattle for almost 80 years. She graduated from Alki, Madison and WSHS (’52).  After graduation, she worked in the medical field.

She married Roger Eggebraten in 1961 and they recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

Barbara loved classical music and opera. She listened to her favorites Mario Lanza and the Three Tenors.  She also enjoyed Elvis Presley’s music.  Barbara also loved baseball.  Her favorite teams were the NY Yankees and the Seattle Mariners.  Specifically, she followed pitchers Mariano Rivera and Felix Hernandez.  Barbara and Roger loved cruising to warmer ports of call.

Barbara is survived by her husband Roger, daughter Kim Serwold, son in law Bob, and her grandsons Christian and Simon.
