Robert (Bob) James Pittman passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019. He is survived by his husband Max Wurzburg and daughter Davis, his parents Gerry and Doris Pittman, sisters Gwen Remmen and Christine Pittman, his brother Jeff Pittman and countless friends. His kindness, love and laughter will stay with all of us forever.
Bob was born in Seattle on April 7, 1962 and grew up in the Rainier Valley. He graduated from Kennedy High School where he was a member of the track, tennis and wrestling teams and lettered in each sport. Bob attended Barbizon School of Modeling after high school. He modeled locally for department stores and clothing manufacturers and on the runway in Paris for Christian Dior.
After returning from Paris, Bob attended Renton Beauty School and studied with Vidal Sassoon in New York. He then joined the Gene Juarez Salons where he trained and apprenticed under Gene himself before becoming a member of the company Artistic Design Team. Bob and a partner opened Prototype Salon in Bellevue in 1988. He then joined Salon Dallas in Seattle and became owner in 2003.
As you move through life and encounter problems or anything you question, ask yourself: WWBD (What Would Bob Do.) He always found the best and kindest solution to everything.
I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. Etienne de Grellet
