Esther Pagh Obituary

Esther went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the age of 100.

Esther was born November 14, 1917, in Tacoma Washington.  She grew up in Roy, Washington, the eldest of three children.  Her sister Alice was born 18 months later, and then brother Lawrence about 4 years later.  She grew up in a very loving family, with many extended family members living close by.  Except for one cousin and some nieces and nephews, she outlived them all!

She married Francis Pagh on November 16, 1941, and moved to Beacon Hill in Seattle.  By 1954, they had relocated to their home in Burien, where she remained until 2009.  She spent her last nine years at the Taylor Adult Family Home in Burien, where she seemed content and received loving care.  She passed very peacefully, without pain or struggle.  Praise God!

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Her gentle, gracious spirit was an inspiration and example.  From an early age, God endowed Esther with a loving, servant’s heart.  She was always  a “constant” – reliable, faithful, devoted, generous, prayerful – she didn’t speak ill of others – and she chose to be content in whatever her circumstances.   She loved the Lord with all her heart, and we know she is with her Lord and Savior.

Her family says, as they did whenever they said goodbye – “Ich liebe dich, Esther – sehr viel, sehr viel!!”

She will be lovingly remembered by her family;  nephew Grant Jensen, and nieces Garnet (Jensen) Osborn and Teresa (Jeschke) Dickinson;  her church family at Burien Free Methodist, where she was a long time member; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, March 17, at the Roy Cemetery in Roy, Washington.  Please share your memories of Esther at www.howden-kennedy.com
