Cremation Services
The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services. They may or may not include the casket or container required for visitation or viewing, burial, entombment or cremation.
You are in no way limited to these service options. You may itemize services in order to select only those which are right for you.
Direct Cremation
Our charge for a direct cremation includes vehicle and personnel for daytime removal of remains from place of death (within 30 miles); family consultation; filing necessary permits; placing remains in the container the family selects; transfer of remains to crematory; crematory fee; return of cremated remains to mortuary.
If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are cardboard boxes with a wooden bottom or wooden cremation containers.
Cremation container and urn are additional.

Funeral Service followed by Cremation
This package includes basic services of the funeral director and staff; embalming; dressing, cosmetics, hair care, and/or casketing; visitation Mon-Sat 9 am - 7 pm (at the Funeral Home or another location); funeral ceremony (at the Funeral Home or another location); transfer to the funeral home Mon-Sat within 30 miles and during the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Crematory fee is included. Cremation Container and Urn are additional. The packages only apply when the casket and/or cremation container is purchased through Howden-Kennedy Funeral Home.

Cremation with Memorial Service
Our charge for cremation and memorial service includes services of funeral director and staff; vehicle and personnel for daytime removal of remains from place of death (within 30 miles); arrangement consultation; placing remains in the container the family selects; refrigeration; transfer of remains to crematory; crematory fee; return of cremated remains to mortuary; and use of facilities, staff and equipment for service.
Cremation Container and Urn are additional.
