Fae Agnes Rasmussen

Fae Agnes Rasmussen passed peacefully away on 5/29/2015 at age 91.  She was born on 7/16/1923 in Racine Wisconsin to Nels and Adela Rasmussen.  She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Clayton Rassmussen and brothers Hugh, Robert and Herman Rasmussen.  She earned a teaching certificate from the Racine-Henosha County Normal School, a RN degree from Northwestern University, and a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside.  Fae worked as an RN at St. Lukes Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine's Hospital and Kenosha Memorial Hospital and taught nursing at Gateway Technicial Institute.  She is a former resident of Kenosha Wisconsin, Fort Pierce Florida, and Seattle Washington.  Fae volunteered at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute in Fort Pierce, at hospices in Kenosha and Fort Pierce, and at the Greenwood Senior Center in Seattle.  She is survived by her children, Peter Rasmussen (Pat), Paul Rasmussen, Margaret Rutchik (Tom), and Susan Robinson (Brian), her grandchildren Matthew Rasmussen, Michael Rasmussen,Renee Hart(Michael), Nels Rutchik and great grandchildren Brayden and Payten Hart.  Fae loved traveling and visited over 20 countries in 6 continents.  She was still traveling in her 80's.  She enjoyed card games, camping, the outdoors and especially loved sitting down with family, good food and wine. Fae was known for her well-honed sense of humor.  She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  The celebration of Fae's life will be held in Seattle.
