Constance Ann "Connie" Stewart (Del Grosso) of West Seattle passed into the arms of the Lord on Monday, October 17th after a brief illness.  She was surrounded by the love of her family and devoted caregivers.

Connie, the daughter of Maria and Peter Del Grosso, was born on June 20, 1922, in Seattle.  She grew up in Queen Anne, attending St. Anne's Catholic Church and School.  She graduated from Holy Names Academy and attended Seattle University.

She met her beloved husband of 70 years, Bill, while working as a naval attache during WWII.  They married on August 3, 1946 and raised three children together in West Seattle.  Connie was blessed with a large and loving family, and more friends than she could count.  She was the sun around which her family orbited, and her warmth sustained them.  She was a beloved wife, adored mother, devoted grandmother, and thrilled great-grandmother, as well as a trusted friend and neighbor.

Connie spent her life creating beautiful memories for the people she loved, including weekly family-style Italian dinners; vacations to the ocean,  Hawaii and Alaska, Italy or anywhere else her love for travel took her; the handcrafts she excelled at and shared with many; and the deep well of love and compassion with which she showered everyone she knew.  She was a faithful parishioner at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle for more than 65 years, and her love of God sustained her through her last weeks.

Connie is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Bill; their son Bill (Chris), daughter Connie (Lee), and daughter Leslie (Joe); grandchildren Analisa (Shane), Morgan (Angela, Andrea, Alexis (Mark), Cameron (Ashley), Meagan (Ryan), and Jason; and eight great-grandchildren.  Her family was her pride and joy and her biggest love, and we are lost without her.
