Marjorie I. Rudy passed away on December 10, 2017 at the age of 100.

Marjorie was a Washington native, born in Seattle on July 13, 1917. She attended school in Seattle, graduating from Roosevelt High School. Upon graduating, she won a scholarship to Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. While attending college, she affiliated with Delta Delta Delta Sorority. During World War II, she married Charles Peter Rudy on December 24, 1942 at Fort Benning, Georgia. When the war was over, they returned to Washington, living in Bellevue for many years, where they raised all three of their children. She was an active member of the Washington State Music Teacher's Association, the Overlake Service League, and the Overlake Hospital Auxiliary. Eventually moving to Huntington Park in Des Moines, Washington, she remained active in the community. She loved reading, swimming, playing bridge and traveling, making great friends wherever she went. Most recently, she was living at Wesley Terrace where she continued to make great friends and enjoy life.

Marjorie leaves behind three children, Merilyn Duff, (Gary), Linda McPhee-Zitter (Hendrick) and Terry Rudy; three grandchildren, Meggin McPhee, Ryan McPhee, (Maria) and Caitlin Kwan, (Chris) great granddaughter, Madeline McPhee and many other friends and relatives.

Memorial services will be held at Wesley Terrace, 816 S 216th St., Des Moines, Washington 98198 on January 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
