Eugene was my best friend in Gladstone High School. After school I could beat him in hockey but I had no luck with Eugene in playing ping pong. We lived only a few blocks from each other in Vancouver. I am glad that I finally met him again in 2017 and was very busy with family when the news hit me hard. It was great to know Eugene while growing up and to know that he had such a fine

To the Family of Dr. Eugene Wong,
So sorry to learn about the loss of your Dear Loved One, Eugene. Please know that so many people share your grief with you to help you through this difficult time of sorrow. Please accept my deepest condolences as we await the time when Christ Jesus will awaken all of those who have fallen asleep in death; including your Beloved, Dr. Wong.

I am deeply saddened to learn that Eugene has died. Gino (as I called him) was my best friend in years gone by. We first got to know each other as physics lab partners in 1968 at U.B.C. He and I enjoyed many good times, including long trips, together over many years. He was the best man at my wedding in 1983. To Sandi and family, Pam and I extend our heartfelt condolences. Steve

It is with great shock and sadness that I read today that Eugene has left us. I knew him in high school and it was only a few months ago saw him again at our 50th anniversary reunion. There are some people that you do not see for many years and yet still have an instant inner memory that you are in the presence of someone you like and miss. Eugene was such a person.

I was devastated to hear Eugene (I used to call him Gino when we first met while working at UBC in 1971) had died. We were close friends while he was in Vancouver and travelled together many times. Although we didn't see each other much after he moved to Seattle, I will miss him deeply. His grieving family can take some comfort from knowing what a wonderful man he was.

I worked with Gene as an IME physician and subsequently as medical director at MCN. I miss him personally as a colleague and gentlemen, who treated all with warmth, dignity and respect. The staff at MCN also are saddened at the loss of a fine man who they worked with over many years. The IME community in Washington at large is saddened by his passing. Our condolences to his family and friends.

What a gentle gentleman. Even his humbleness was understated. Enjoyed talking with him about philosophy the few times I worked with him. He'll be sore;y missed.

It was with great sadness and a sense of personal loss that I learned of Gene's passing..I had the great privilege of working with Gene on many IME's..He was always fair, honest and a delight to work with.. He was a kind man and it showed in every way..I learned so much from him during our work together. He was a born teacher and was always patient.
Above all he had a wonderful sense of humor..I still laugh when I think of his stories about the Rescue Chickens in his home..I never failed to ask him about those birds and we always had fun talking about them.
I think of Gene often and am so sorry I wont get to work with him further.
He is missed, and will continue to be missed.
From the Jewish prayer service...." May the Almighty God take his soul under his wings and nurture and protect him for all eternity...May he be remembered as a righteous man upon the earth. and may we all say, Amen..."

I did not know Gene, but worked along side Sandi , and as a nurse she is the most incredible, compassionate nurse and co worker to her patients and staff. Her energy is contagious and she has many plans for the future. Her children are her center and loves them passionately. You will all get through this and all the good things in life will return. Gene will be spending Christmas with Jesus this year, and will be missed!

I met Dr Wong when I started working for OMAC 12 years ago. He was here in Anchorage for my very first clinic and we have worked many clinics together through the years. It was always a good clinic when he was there! He was always kind to everyone and was especially patient and supportive to me. I will miss his smile and his quiet chuckle.
My heart goes out to all of you as you mourn his loss. He was a great man and will be missed greatly!

I am so sorry for your family's loss. I did not know Dr. Wong as well as others, having only talked with him a few times over the phone in work-related matters. However, he was a pleasure to speak with. His professionalism, knowledge, and humor were undeniable.
